The PI extension is not compatible with Parsoid, and it just will not render; if and when Parsoid becomes the default for reading (which is expected for 1.41, but not confirmed), then it will be broken. The sole maintainer of the extension seems to have vanished, and the efforts to fix it have not been fruitful.

As such, when Parsoid becomes the default, if it is not fixed, it will need to be undeployed.
